Title
Visual thinking: A gifted boy with Asperger syndrome
Abstract
After reviewing literature on Asperger syndrome, the author describes in some detail a case study of a child who has been diagnosed with Asperger's and shows evidence of giftedness. In a consideration of educational implications of this kind of dual exceptionality, she emphasizes the importance of attending to strengths and interests, as vehicles for learning to cope with challenges.
