  • This article focuses on the education for the gifted students. The very subject of giftedness is fraught with contradiction and controversy. Greater focus has recently been placed on underprepared students who enter public schools only to be passed from grade to grade, often condemned to join the one third of their classmates who drop out before receiving a high-school diploma.
