Discusses the concepts of adult giftedness in the context of domain achievement and questions whether giftedness in women is somehow unique. The seemingly inequitable eminence model standard of adult giftedness is juxtaposed against the "relative context" model in which one's achieved potential is compared with members sharing characteristics such as gender, ethnicity, SES, etc. The issues of the psychological needs and unique circumstances facing gifted women are focused upon as they enhance or inhibit their exceptional abilities.
